Behind the Music

For more than 25 years, I’ve been singing and playing saxophone and flute at celebrations, corporate events and special occasions. Along the way, I recorded five albums, exploring the music I love, from jazz, country rock and pop to African, contemporary and classical sounds.

There have been busy years on stage and quieter years when other parts of life needed more of me. Today, I still perform, but I approach it differently. I want to enjoy the music, connect with the people in front of me and share what I’ve learnt with singers finding their own voices.

This page is a home for that part of me. A little of where I’ve been, what I’m doing now and what’s still to come.

LEARN WITH NICOLE

The VoiceBox is a fun, inclusive, hands-on workshop that helps churches develop their current worship teams while also discovering hidden voices in their congregations. In one session, singers explore healthy vocal technique, simple ear training, and essential music basics.

Drawing on my many years as a performer, teacher and coach, I share practical tips, tricks and insights I've picked up along the way.

It's joyful, practical, and welcoming to vocalists of all levels.

Singing Coaching & Music Lessons

Learn, explore and enjoy making music.

I offer one-on-one online lessons in singing, soprano and alto saxophone, and flute, wherever you are in the world.

Together, we build a foundation in music reading and technique while exploring different styles and music you enjoy. Performance skills are part of the journey from the beginning, helping you grow in confidence along the way.
